Ted Lewis, 51, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on November 19, 2023, at Carolina East Medical Center.
A Celebration of Ted's Life will be held at a later date.
Ted's passion for capturing memorable moments led him to become one of the principal photographers for the renowned Big Rock Fishing Tournament. His skillful eye and attention to detail allowed him to weave stories through his photographs, leaving a lasting impact on all those who admired his work.
Beyond his professional career, Ted found solace and exhilaration in the water. Whether he was surfing the waves or diving into the depths, he reveled in the freedom and serenity that the ocean provided. This love for the water became an integral part of his life and shaped him into the adventurous, spirited individual he was known to be.
In his leisure time, Ted enjoyed collecting Star Wars figurines and immersing himself in the captivating world of comic books. These hobbies allowed him to tap into his imagination and find inspiration in the fantastic stories they presented.
Ted's greatest joy and source of pride, however, was his role as a loving father. His devotion and unconditional love for his family were unwavering, and he cherished every moment spent with his child.
He is survived by his daughter, Hannah Clemenic of Wilmington; father, Reggie Lewis and wife Gay of Morehead City; step-father, Charlie Meyer of New Bern; sister, Elizabeth Lewis of New Bern; and brother, Jordan Lewis of Morehead City.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lexanne Meyer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
