Teresa Ann (Chrisawn) Johnson

Teresa Ann Chrisawn Johnson, 68, of Morehead City, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, November 27, 2014 at her home with family.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Mumford officiating.
Teresa was born Teresa Ann Chrisawn on March 4, 1946 in Marion, NC. She was the second child of William Gordon Chrisawn and Bonnie Esther Effler. She went to Asheville, NC schools, and later was employed with Piedmont Airlines, Dr. William T. Hicks Optometrics, and Kill Devil Hills Police Department. In High School she met Carl Johnson and they were married in 1966, and they had one son Phillip Johnson.
She devoted many hours to the study of theology, interior decorating, and writing. When asked of family and friends to tell me what they remember most about Teresa, the response was her sense of humor, dancing, and attention to detail. Teresa was very strong in her convictions, a compassionate person, and strong willed best describe her. And above all she believed in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and often said "God will get us through it".
She is survived by her son Phillip Karl Johnson and wife Sandy; her mother and step father Bonnie Baskowski and husband William "Bill" ; nephew Lee Chrisawn Bentley and wife Ginger (their kids Brooke and Jake); nieces Bonnie Bentley Caudill and husband Scott, Rebecca Bentley Smith and husband Paul (their daughter Laurel), and Cat Langton and husband Tom.
She was preceded in death by her father Gordon Chrisawn, sibilings Geraldine Ellen Chrisawn "Chris", Judy Rose Chrisawn, and William Harold Chrisawn, and a nephew William Dean Bentley.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
