Tassos Haritos

Tassos Haritos, 80, of Morehead City, passed away Saturday, November 10­, 2018, at his home.

He graduated from N.C. State University as a Mechanical Engineer. He served in the U.S. Army as an E-4. He worked for the government as a civilian for over 36 years with the Department of the U.S. Army at Picattinny Arsenal. He was devoted to his job and enjoyed working with his co-workers. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. He loved Italian race cars, animals, children, and his country.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anne Marie Haritos, of the home for 55 years; two sons, Michael G. Haritos and wife Andrea of Bear, DE and Jason P. Haritos and wife Susan of Clayton, NC; 2 grandchildren, Sarah Grace Haritos and Lukas Tassos Haritos.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tassos G. Haritos and Marianthe P. Haritos.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
