Tara Marie Shimmel

Tara Marie Shimmel, 32, of Havelock, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 18th, at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock. The family will receive friends an hour prior. In honor of Tara, the family asks that you wear green and yellow reflecting the colors of John Deere.

Tara was born on May 18, 1989, at Cherry Point, North Carolina, to Fred Michael Shimmel and Victoria Lee Shimmel. Tara thrived in her career as a service writer for Quality Equipment / John Deere, it was a job that she thoroughly enjoyed. Tara loved Door Dashing and enjoyed the customers and businesses she worked with. Being outdoors and seeing the beauty around her was her happy place. If you knew Tara, you knew she always had a plan and would have a specific way of doing something, her way of course. Her daughter, Aryanna was the apple of her eye. Tara will be tremendously missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Aryanna Leigh Shimmel of Havelock; mother, Victoria Lee Shimmel of Greenville; father, Fred Michael Shimmel of Havelock; sister, Stephanie Sierra and husband Cole of Abilene, TX; brother, Brandon Price and partner Carl Price, stationed in Japan; niece, Liliana Sierra; and maternal grandfather, Charles Benton of Karthaus, PA.
