Susanne 'Mickey" Schreck, 78, of Havelock, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at the home.
Mrs. Schreck attended Washington and Lee High School in Alexandria, Virginia, and attended Madison College in Virginia. She was employed for the FBI for 5 years, a mail carrier with the US Postal Service for 40 years and a substitute teacher at Havelock High School.She was the past president of Havelock Garden Club and a member of the Bridge Club.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Dan Schreck of the home; three sons, James Patrick Vandever of Morehead City, Frank Allen Vandever of Connecticut, and Jeffery Lee Vandever of Alexandria, VA; three daughters, Kathryn Sue Styron and her daughter Audrey Lind West of Newport, Grace Fulgham of Wilmington and Christine Jacobson of Cary; niece, Barbara Howell of Cove City; 12 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
