Susan was born August 2, 1943 in Manhattan, New York where she spent her childhood and early years growing up. Susan eventually settled in Bethpage New York where she raised her family. She later moved to Clayton NC with her late husband where they spent many years together eventually moving to coast. Susan worked at her nephews deli and eventually Harris Teeter, which all fueled her love of cooking. She worked for 15 years at Harris Teeter before she retired. Susan loved spending time with her family and it often centered around the amazing meals she would cook. The time she would get to spend with her growing family was something she cherished. She adored her children, grand children and her great grandchildren especially. Her great grandchildren fueled one of her most recent hobbies, online shopping. As a result her great grand babies were always the best dressed ! Susan had many close friends. Some of her favorite outings were Wednesday night bingo at the Creek and lunch with the ladies during the week. She also never passed up an opportunity to enjoy a night out dining with family. She will be missed dearly by all of her family, friends and anyone who knew her. She was a beautiful soul and was loved by so many.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Pro and husband Scott of Ocean; sons, Matthew Novotny and fiancée Pam of Ocean and Michael Novotny and wife Michele of Bethpage, Long Island, NY; grandchildren, Sal Baiardi and wife Courtney, Tasia Painter and husband Brant, Zachary Pro and wife Meghan, Sandra Nicholsen and husband Charlie, and Paul Valenti; great-grandchildren, Zane Baiardi, Zachary Baiardi, Samuel Pro, Lennon Painter, Adalynn Painter and Hadley Pro and soon to be, baby Nicholsen; and many nieces, nephews, and friends in New York.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Dominick Martino and mother, Sandra Delaney.
