Susan Carol Toler, 71, of Vanceboro, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at her home.
The family will conduct a memorial service 2:00 pm Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Bridgeton Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Kenneth Dixon officiating.
Susan loved animals and the mountains, collecting seashells and rocks, birdwatching and being outdoors. She especially loved Ford Mustangs, and the new Dodge Challengers.
She is survived by two daughters, Darlene Christy of Vanceboro, and Jeanine Miller and husband, Neal of Flovilla, GA; four sons, William Rudd of New Bern, Ronald Rudd of Myrtle Beach, SC, Donald Rudd and wife Debra of Bridgeton, Darrin Rudd of New Bern; sister, Sherill Kuhlsen of New Bern; three grandchildren, Daniel Wetherington, III of Raleigh, Derek Wetherington of New Bern, and Robert Lee James, III of Washington State; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson Brian James, and Robert Lee James, IV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Velna Toler; three brothers, Danny Toler, Otis Earl Toler, and William Douglass Toler; and a sister, Sally Guthrie.
