Susan Swindell, 47, of Lincolnton, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at her home.
Mrs. Susan had worked at Carteret General Hospital, Down East Medical and as an LPN at Carolina House prior to moving to West Virginia.
She loved the outdoors especially hunting, fishing and gardening. She also loved doing crafts, and she was always helping people whether she knew them or not.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Bryan Swindell of the home; son, Linden Hazelton of Lincolnton; stepmother, Becky Woofter of Middleboune, WV; father and mother-in-law, Walter and Margaret Walrath of Newport; one brother, three sisters, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Woofter.
The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale St, Memphis, TN 38105.
