Susan J. Seigler

Susan J. Seigler, 69, of Cape Carteret, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019, at Vidant Medical Center.

“Susie” was born and raised in eastern North Carolina. In 1976, her family moved to Portsmouth, VA where she was a successful real estate broker for over 20 years. Upon returning to Cape Carteret, she and her husband Randy opened the Goose Creek restaurant and lounge on Emerald Isle.

Susie enjoyed boating with her husband, fishing with her grandchildren, working in her yard and relaxing with friends on her deck. She was a remarkable cook that loved to entertain and feed her friends. Susie was a tough woman with a tender side, a protective mother, a loyal wife and loving grandmother that always put family and friends first.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Randall Seigler; daughter, Christina Morales of Raleigh; son, Steven Seigler and his wife Riki Seigler of Hampstead; sisters, Elsie Faye Murray of Sierra Vista, AZ, Pauline Spears of Port St. Lucie, FL, Ruby Ann Richard of Valrico, FL and Connie Joe Boone of Hubert, NC; and four grandchildren, Albrianna, Grayson, Cassidy and Blake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Eva Jarman; sister, Ethel Loraine Morris; and brother, Rubin Allan Jarman.

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Munden Funeral Home. A private burial will take place at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
