Sue Scott

Sue Piner Scott, 61, of Harkers Island, passed away Wednesday April 20, 2016 at Crystal Coast Hospice House surrounded by her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 22, 2016 at Free Grace Wesleyan Church with Pastor Clinton Nelson and Pastor William O’Neal officiating.
Sue was born and raised in the Harkers Island community, and retired from Radio Island Terminal Operator, LLC. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of almost 45 years, Charlie Scott; daughter, Carrie Brooke Scott of Garner; son, Stephen Beau Scott of Beaufort; brother, Tony Piner and wife Beth; sisters, Emma Wade and husband Paul and Libby Yeomans and husband Tommy; and 3 grandchildren, Anna, Laura and Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses Lanier and Clara Doris “Dot” Johnson Piner.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm Friday, April 22, 2016 at Free Grace Wesleyan Church.
