Steven "Linc" Gary Lincoln

Steven Lincoln, 61, of Morehead City, died Friday, September 13, 2013.
A celebration of life will be held at Munden Funeral Home at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September twenty first. Family will receive friends and loved ones one hour prior to the service.
Steve Lincoln, well known to his friends as Linc, was a member of the Order of the Arrow. He was in the Boy Scouts and loved the local Indian Heritage. He was a local East Coast Surfing contest Champion and a free surfer. Linc loved nature and the glory of God. More than his love for nature was his passion for the simple beauty of the Lord’s grace and His Heavenly Fathers big picture. He was a balladeer and an outstanding lead guitar player and song writer. He was a unique artist who could capture and depict the outer banks, shipwrecks and guitars and much more. His trademark and specialty was that no two pictures were identical just like snowflakes on a winter’s night. Lincoln shared his visions and songs locally, in the living room and all over many states for the love of those who supported his work and for his own gratitude. Steve was a mentor to youth and many by way of bringing folks together. He was an avid skate boarder, and got his buddies together to learn and share songs and to encourage people to sing and play from the heart. Linc more than loved his family and friends. He gave to strangers, those he cared for and to the creatures of this world no matter their situation. He was drawn to Mother Ocean and the opportunities it gave him. He enjoyed sailing, camping and surfing to its fullest extent.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Lincoln of the home; Alicia Mayo and Chris Mayo and had endless love for her children. He is also survived by two brothers, Roy Lincoln of Rocky Mount and Clinton Lincoln of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Jean Lincoln.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
