Steven Blackburn Sr.

Steven Blackburn Sr., 48, of Havelock, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at his home.

Steve was born on March 10, 1974, in Pickens County, Alabama, to Otha and Anna Blackburn. He was the owner and operator of the Discount Handyman for over 3 years. Steve had a strong work ethic and was always keeping busy. In his spare time, he loved to play cards, and tinker with cars and various projects around the house. Steve will be deeply missed by his many friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carla Townsend of the home; mother, Anna Blackburn of Gordo, Alabama; daughter, Zaireyah Blackburn and husband Liam White of Colorado; sons, Steven Blackburn Jr. of Georgia, Jahouston Wesley of Birmingham, Alabama, Xavier Blackburn of Havelock, North Carolina, Messiah Blackburn of Havelock, North Carolina; sisters, Catherine Blackburn of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Leslie Blackburn of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Sheila Corder of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; brother, Otha Corder of Birmingham, Alabama; sisters-in-law, Tracy Zeigler of Birmingham, Alabama and Marquetta Townsend of Birmingham, Alabama; grandchildren, Javyvion Moore and Tyshawn Williams; ex-wife, Erma Wesley; best friends, Antione Wilson of Georgia, Cory Erby of Birmingham, Alabama, and Jermaine Robertson of Birmingham, Alabama; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Otha Blackburn, and his sister-in-law, Jennifer Townsend.
