Sterling Gillikin, 73, of Morehead City, died Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Carteret General Hospital.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Monday, December 27, 2010 at Bayview Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Alva Gillikin of the home; daughter, Gracie Robison of Fayetteville; son, Clayton Gillikin of Otway; two step-daughters, Marie Hurst of Morehead City, and Nancy Hamilton of Fuquay-Varina; seven grandchildren; and sister, Shirley Gillikin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Gillikin and Nannie Lawrence Gillikin; and two brothers Ira Gillikin, and Will Gillikin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carteret County Relay for Life, Craven-Carteret EMC, ATTN: Kathy Wilson, PO Box 1490, Newport, NC 28570, or the RAAB Clinic, 302 Medical Park, Morehead City, NC 28557.
