Sophia Jane (Barefoot) Patterson

Sophia Jane Barefoot Patterson, 62, of Morehead City passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at her home surrounded by family.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 am Friday, March 6, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Morehead City with Dr. Nate Leonard officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Benson, NC.
Sophia was a member of First Baptist Church of Morehead City where she served in several ministries, hand bell choir, prayer shaw ministry, children choir ministry, and the senior adult choir ministry.
She is survived by her husband Charlie Patterson of the home; a daughter Lauren Patterson Jones and husband Sam H. of Winterville, NC; one son Chad Patterson and wife Sara of Charlotte, NC; one grandchild Brody Jones; and mother Ruth Mildred Barefoot of Meadow, NC.
She was preceded in death by her father Oliver Ayden Barefoot.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
