Shirley (Albert) Waldrop

Shirley Albert Waldrop, 69, of Beaufort NC, died Friday, May 8, 2015 at Crystal Coast Hospice House.

A memorial service will be held 3:30 pm Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Ann St. UMC in Beaufort NC with Rev. David Wade officiating.

Shirley was born October 6th, 1945 to the late John A. and Sarah M. Albert in Moore County NC.  She was a retired Bank Officer for several banks, but spent most of her career with First Bank. She was an active member of the Whispering Pines Fire Department for several years and was a certified EMT.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her church family.  She was a member of Ann Street UMC where she taught youth Sunday School, worked with many of the youth groups, and sang in the choir.

She is survived by her son, Chris Holder and wife Jeanie of Beaufort, NC; two step sons, Charles Waldrop and Ray Waldrop; a step daughter Jeannie Cross; two sisters Pam Quick and Patty Hopton; two grandchildren Ashley Holder and Megan Holder; and three step grandchildren Peyton, Grayson, and Easton Waldrop.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years Doug Waldrop, and her parents John and Sarah Albert.

The family will receive friends following the service at the fellowship hall.
