Shirley Styron
December 6, 1929 — July 29, 2009
Shirley Emory Styron, 79, of Cedar Island, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Taylor Extended Care.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the VFW in Beaufort.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm Monday at Cedar Island United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Island Community Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Randall Styron and companion Debra Taylor of Cedar Island; two brothers, Stephen Rodrick Emory and Royce Emory both of Cedar Island; two great grandchildren, Christian Tyler Styron and Emily Audrianna Styron both of Cove City, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harliss Styron, and granddaughter Lisa Styron Harazin.
The family will receive friends 1:00-2:30 pm prior to the service at the church.
