Shirley Edwards Rawles, 75, of Tuscarora, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday November 10, at home surrounded by her family.
A funeral service will be held 11:00am Monday, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cedar Point, with the Rev. David Rimmer and Rev. Steve Wakefield officiating. Interment to follow at Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was a member of Morning Star Baptist of Beaufort NC.
She is survived by husband Jim Rawles of the home: three daughters Angela Pruitt Adkins of Jacksonville, NC, Eleanor Pruitt Jarvis of Hubert, and Teresa Pruitt Sills of Jacksonville, NC: a son Bo Pruitt of Newport, NC: two sisters Jessie Edwards Eason of Swansboro, NC and Linda Edwards Brannan of Selma,NC: two brothers Wells Floyd Edwards of Dover, TN and Rexford Edwards of Garner, NC: and nine grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Mildred Edwards and a brother William H. Edwards.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
Flowers are welcome and memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 930-B Wellness Dr. Greenville, NC 27834.
