Sharon Schaeffer, 69, of Newport, died Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Crystal Coast Hospice House.
A service of remembrance for family and friends will be held 2:00 - 4:00 pm on Saturday at Munden Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Buddy Hefner of the home; daughter, Kristin Schrader of Sylva; son, Eric Schrader of Kinston; three brothers, Forrest Schaeffer of Lebanon, NJ, Dean Charles Schaeffer of Santa Ana, CA and Jack Howard Schaeffer of Costa Mesa, CA; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Virginia Tiden Schaeffer.
Flowers or plants are welcome, or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
