Sharon Garner, 64, of Newport, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at her home.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, October 15, 2015 with Rev. Charlie Miller officiating at Carteret Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her two daughters, Wendy Johnson and husband Mitch of TX and Melissa Mims and husband Shawn of Newport; two sisters, Carolyn Rouse and Linda Riggs and husband Harold; four grandchildren, Chase Dixon, Destinee Beck, Courtney Johnson and Cameron Johnson; one great grandchild, Caleb Whitaker; nieces, Edwina Fulford, Sandy Brim and Terina Sanchez; nephews, Jackie Rouse, Ira Long, Dean Garner, Jerry Tyndall, Jeffery Tyndall, and Randy Lemay; two sister-in-laws, Agnes Tyndall and Honey Garner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Gerald Garner; and one brother, Ira Long; also parents, Sonny and Jean Long.
