Shannon W. LeHotta, 43, of Newport, died Monday, January 16, 2012 at his home.
The family will do services at a later date.
He was born on June 10, 1968 in Clinton, MO. Son of the late George LeHotta and Shirley Parscale who loved his smile and his dimples. Shannon moved to the Crystal Coast from Missouri and soon found his dream job which was commercial fishing. For years he was also the mate on the Dolphin One with Captain George Bedsworth. When not fishing, Shannon worked construction and also worked at Hatteras Yachts in New Bern, building cabinets for yachts. He had a unique sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Shannon would help anyone who asked, especially his friends. He will be missed greatly by all his friends and family.
He is survived by three brothers, Steve Underwood of Windsor, MO, Shawn LeHotta of Clinton, MO and Scott LeHotta of Newport; two sisters, Deb McFall of Lacey, WA , and Cindy Goalder of Sedalia, MO; an aunt, Jan O’Neil of Aliso Viejo, CA; five nieces and seven nephews; close friends, Pam Coiley of the home and Mona Halverson of Morehead City; and very special friends, Chris, Jen, Caleb, Cameron and Peighton Houston of Fredericksburg, VA, Jason Gillette, Sandy Griese and Correne Gillette of Manassas Park, VA and Gina Coiley of the home.
