Sgt. Aaron Irvin Ford Wright Jr.

Sgt. Aaron Irvin Ford Wright Jr., USMC, Retired, 65, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020, at Carolina East Medical Center.

The family will honor his life with a service at a later date.

Aaron was born on November 18, 1954, in Killeen, Texas, to the late Annie Mildred Lucas Warren and Aaron Irvin Ford Wright Sr. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp for 9 years with the rank of Sergeant. Aaron was an incredible cook who displayed his talents as chef at various restaurants and hotels. Travelling was a highlight for Aaron, he especially loved the trip to Maggie Valley and Gatlinburg.

He is survived by his daughters, Ruth Anne Scruggs and husband Christopher Brady of Newport and Elizabeth Faye Bennett and husband SSG Michael of Fayetteville, NC; sons, Aaron Wright and wife Alena of Havelock and Earl Wright of St. Mary’s, OH; sisters, Debbie Colon and husband Rocky of Fayetteville, NC and Robin Blair of New Jersey; brothers, Albert Blair, Wesley Wright, both of New Jersey and Donald Blair Jr. of Cleveland, OH; 29 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Althea Alberta Hood Wright and sister, Gail Blair.
