Scott Keith Goguen

Scott Keith Goguen, 55 ,of Bogue, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by his loving family Wednesday, June 11, 2014.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, June 22nd at Munden Funeral Home chapel with Bobby Godwin officiating.
Scott was a longtime employee of Bogue Sound Septic and Grading. He enjoyed strength training and all things related to strength, such as kettle bells, card tearing, and stone lifting. He loved to tinker with old machinery, like restoring his antique tractor and customizing his vintage motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Hennessey of the home; two sons, Josh Goguen and wife Jenny of Wake Forest and Johnny Goguen and wife Claudia of Raleigh; mother, Ann Goguen of Bogue; brothers, Glenn Goguen of New Bern and John Goguen and wife Marie of Bogue; grandchildren, Phoenix, Julianne, Ladon, Liberty and Gryphon; and former wife and lifelong friend, Merrie Goguen of Raleigh.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Goguen.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank New Bern Cancer Care, Carolina East Medical Center, and UNC Chapel Hill Doctors and Staff for all their care, kindness, and dedication through all of his treatments and operations.
