Sarah Elizabeth Chaffee Rye, 37, went to be with her Lord on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Duke University Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Munden Funeral Home with Rev. Nelson Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Sarah was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend to all. She was born and raised in Salem OH. She graduated from Salem High School in 1997 and moved to North Carolina immediately after graduation.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mackenzie M. Rye and Bethany G. Kittrell; parents, Dan and Donna Chaffee of Beaufort; two brothers, James E. Chaffee of Newport, NC and Dan D. Chaffee JR. of Salem, OH; two sisters, Tina M. Gailey of Rodgers, OH and Denise Stevenson and husband Frank of Charlotte, NC; special friend, Buddy Kittrell of Morehead City; also numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
