Sandra Snotherly Watson-Sutton

Sandra Snotherly Watson-Sutton, 71, of Newport, formerly of Garner, went to be with the Lord on  Monday, July 2­, 2018. She went peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern.

A remembrance gathering will be held by the family at a later date.

Sandy was born on February 25, 1947, in Raleigh to the late Henry Allen and Grayce Shaw Snotherly. She retired after 30 years as owner of Sandy’s Nail Salon.

She was a proud and loving mother and sister. The birth of her grandson was her greatest joy and being “Nanny” became her purpose in life.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Kelly Stipe, and husband, Jim, and grandson, Colton, all of Newport; sisters, Robin Snotherly of Morehead City and Barbara Simpkins and husband, Marshall, of Garner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Robert Sutton.

A heartfelt thanks to all who prayed and cared for Sandy over the years, most especially Dr. Alonzo Davis and staff in Morehead City.
