Sandra “Sandy” Stewart, 72, of Hubert, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Carolina East Medical Center.

Sandy was born on August 10, 1952, in Oswego, New York, to the late Carl and Lauren Graham. Known for her kindness and compassion, Sandy had a long career as a nursing assistant, where she impacted the lives of numerous patients.

Coming from a family of seven siblings, Sandy always appreciated and valued her time spent with her loved ones. She especially enjoyed going on cruises with her family and the fun times they shared together. A talented baker, Sandy, was especially known for her exquisite wedding cakes. Everything she baked was made with love and was always delicious.

Sandy will be remembered as a loving and caring wife of 39 years, a wonderful mother, and proud grandmother, whose family will miss her dearly.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Charlie Stewart; daughters, Renee Day (Hugh) of Cape Carteret, NC, and Amanda Stewart of Morris, MN; sons, Jason Dallas (Lou Ann) of Webster, NY and Timothy Stewart of Elm City, NC; sister, Patsy Sharpe of Sodus Point, NY; grandchildren, Cora Dallas, Claire Day, and MacCoy Day; her 5:00 somewhere sister-in-law, Paticia Smith of Williamson, NY; as well as numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law along, nieces, and nephews; and her cuddly cat, Kangaroo “Twisted Sister”.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her sisters, Patti Perkins, Judy Hollenbeck, and Rosalee Lyon; and brothers, Vernon Graham, Larry Graham, and James Schaffer.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
