Sandra Mills Morgan

Sandra Mills Morgan, 76, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Carteret Health Care.

The family will have a celebration of her life at a later date.

Sandra was born on April 9, 1947, in Danville, Virginia, to the late Lemuel and Phylis Mills. Recently moving to the Crystal Coast, Sandra lived the majority of her life in her hometown of Danville, Virginia.

Sandra was a dedicated member of Glenwood Memorial Baptist Church in Danville, Virginia where she served as the past choir director. Her significant responsibilities involved leading and directing the choir during worship services and other musical performances, selecting and rehearsing music, coordinating with the musicians and singers, and ensuring that the choir's performances enhanced the worship experience for the congregation. Sandra's wonderful talent and musical abilities blessed her church and community.

Sandra was an incredible woman who had a fulfilling life as a loving and dedicated wife of 53 years, a supportive and caring mother, and a proud grandmother. Her life demonstrated commitment and devotion.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Billy Morgan; son, Dwayne Morgan and wife Mandee of Newport; sister, Brenda Yates and husband Ronnie of Blairs, VA; grandchildren, Bethany White, Rylee Morgan, and Tucker Morgan; and her sidekicks, her dogs, Wolfie and Spencer.
