Sally Hill Styron, 60, of Marshallberg, went to be with her Savior on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Carteret Health Care, after fighting a battle with cancer.
Her memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, officiated by Richard Patterson. There will be a time of visitation following the service.
Sally was born on June 14, 1957 to Bernice and Vernon Hill. She married the love of her life, Joe Styron, on July 27, 1974. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her daughter and best friend, Shawna. After losing their beloved husband and father, Joe in 2003, they continued to make him proud by filling their lives with love, laughter, family and friends. Sally had two faithful fur baby companions, Milo and Bougie. She leaves a legacy of love for all those who were lucky enough to have known her!
She is survived by her daughter and best friend, Shawna Styron of Harkers Island and her significant other, Donovan Guthrie and daughter, Samantha Grace; sisters, Martha Fulford and husband, Terry, of Beaufort, Barbara Marshburn and husband, William, of Marshallberg; brother, Thomas Hill of Florida; nieces, Valerie Wooten and husband, Eason, Lori Willis, Kimberly Brittingham and husband, Buddy, Susan Alvarado and fiancé, Greg, Tanya Winn and husband, Doug, T.C. Davis and family, Mary Styron and family, Kim Styron; nephews, Robin Garner and wife, Sonya, Wesley Hill, Joe Garner, Thomas Hill, Vernon Hill, Charles Taylor and family; great nephews, Justin Lewis and wife, Brianne, CJ Struyk, Aaron Winn, Devan Winn, Brennan Lewis, Caleb Alvardo, Desmond Garner and wife, Kari, Dexter Garner and wife, Brandie; great nieces, Brian Goodwin and Kayla Garner.
She was preceded in death by husband, Joe Styron; mother, Bernice Hill; father, Vernon Hill; sister, Sue Willis; mother-in-law, Ethel Styron; father-in-law, Hallet Styron; sister-in-law, Reda Styron; brothers-in-law, James and Joseph Styron; and nephews, Jamie Meyer and Tony Fulford.
