Sally Morris Hunter

Sally Morris Hunter, 69, of Morehead City, NC, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Carteret Health Care.

A memorial service to honor Sally’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 18th at Reece’s Chapel Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. James Chadwick.

Sally was born on March 28, 1955, in Morehead City, NC, to the late Troy and Hilda Morris. She was a remarkable woman whose strong will and loving spirit touched the hearts of many.

Sally shared a beautiful journey of 48 years with her beloved husband, Ivey, cherishing her family and her precious fur babies. Her dedication to her loved ones was evident in all that she did.

As co-owner of Harbor Master, Inc. in Morehead City, Sally found fulfillment in her role as a secretary and treasurer. She took great pride in her work, contributing to the success of the business alongside her husband and her brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Yvonne Morris.

A true lover of the water, Sally cherished every moment spent at the Cape, which remained her favorite retreat. She took advantage of every opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery, creating lasting memories by the shore.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her brother, Troy Morris III and wife Yvonne of Morehead City; brother-in-law, Jack Hunter of Morehead City; sisters-in-law, Alice Hardesty of Newport and Jeanette Deibert (Glenn) of Fayetteville; many loving nieces and nephews; and her 3 adorable fur babies, her dogs, Junior, Velvet and Button.

In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ivey James Hunter in 2022.
