R. Vance Heath

August 15, 1925 — May 25, 2010

R. Vance Heath, 84, of Beaufort, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Heath was a member of Rainbow United Methodist Church in Snow Hill, NC and attended First Baptist Church of Beaufort. He served in the US Army, was a Past Master of Franklin Lodge # 109, also a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, member of the Eastern Star in Beaufort, Chapter # 128, was a member of the Sudan Shrine and a Roadrunner.

Services will be held 11 am Friday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Ben Thompson officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 pm in Westview Cemetery in Kinston.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret H. Heath; daughter, Vickie Jones and husband, Tommy of Ft. Barnwell; son, Michael Heath and wife Linda of Sanford; brother, Vernie Heath, Jr. of Kinston; grandchildren, Tonya Jones Cannon and husband Steve of Grifton, Cynthia Heath Machado and husband Camilo of Cary and Ashley Jones and wife Jaime of Ft. Barnwell and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
