Ruth Todd Sanderson

Ruth Todd Sanderson, 84, of Emerald Isle, NC, formerly of Loris, SC, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Carteret Health Care.

Born on October 28, 1939, in Loris, SC, Ruth was the beloved daughter of the late James and Maude Todd. Ruth worked in the cafeteria at Daisy Elementary School in Horry County, SC, where she enjoyed seeing the children each day. 

In 2019, she embarked on a new chapter of her life by relocating to the Crystal Coast of North Carolina and settling in Emerald Isle. Among her interests, Ruth particularly enjoyed gardening.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Alesia Sanderson of Emerald Isle, NC; son, Bill Sanderson and his partner Gene Yuson of San Francisco, CA; daughter-in-law, Ann Sanderson of Summerville, SC; granddaughter, Chloe Spivey and husband Brandon of Summerville, SC; and great-grandson, Colson Spivey, of Summerville, SC.
