Ruth Dowdy Morton born February 19, 1951, left us on March 30, 2024.
Affectionately known as Penny to those who knew her best. Daughter of Erven and Gelita; Sister to Linda, Barron, and Jo; Wife of Jesse; Mother of Patrick and Kelly; Nana to Isaac, Dalton, Eric, Nick, Seth, Shelby, Gabe, Scot, and Sarah; and Great-Grandmother to Bellamy and Emmitt.
She was strong, kind, and crafty. She is already missed beyond words.
A memorial service to honor Penny’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2024, at One Harbor Church in Morehead City.
