Newsome was born on December 3, 1957, in Rocky Mount, NC. He had a deep faith in the Lord which led him to further his education at Atlantic Christian College, where he was a proud member of the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity. Newsome eagerly looked forward to attending their annual school reunions, reconnecting with lifelong friends, and reminiscing about the good old days.
Newsome treasured the moments spent with his loved ones. He shared a beautiful and loving marriage of 41 years with the love of his life, his devoted wife, Pamala. Together, they created a lifetime of memories and were an inspiration to all who knew them.
When he wasn't busy with work or spending time with loved ones, Newsome enjoyed many diverse interests. He had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures life had to offer, especially spending time at the beach, which was his happy place. Of course, being able to cast a line was a plus and he was always ready for a good catch. He relished the art of storytelling, often captivating his audience with tales from the past. His love for history, coupled with a passion for watching old movies and listening to music, enriched his world and allowed him to connect with others. Newsome had a keen interest and appreciation for cars and was known to keep his spotless and sharp at all times.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Pamala Moore; daughters, Heather Benjamin (Corey) of Emerald Isle, NC and Hope Moore of Knightdale, NC; and 3 grandchildren, Ryan, Lucas, and Tallulah.
Newsome was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph Newsome Moore Sr.; mother, Sallie Brown Ellen Smiley; and step-father, Ronnie Allen Smiley;
