Ruben "Paul" Wallace

November 7, 1930 — July 20, 2014

Ruben "Paul" Wallace, 83, of South River, went home to Heaven on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Carteret General Hospital.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hal Harvin officiating.

Mr. Paul was a member of South River Volunteer Fire & Rescue and he served nine years in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife of 7 & 1/2 years, Barbara Capps Wallace of the home; two daughters, Merinda Bryant of Stanley and Pamela Phillips and husband Curt of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Richie Bryant of Maiden, Bradley Bryant of Mooresville, Dane Phillips of Charlotte and Lynde Phillips of Charlotte; two great-grandchildren, Haylee Bryant and Hayden Bryant; sister, Annie Belle Wooten of Havelock; and brother, Levi Wallace of Durham.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Ann Rhew Wallace, his parents, John and Annie Wallace, three brothers and two sisters,

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the servce at the funeral home.
