Roseann "Rosey" Hill

Roseann “Rosey” Hill, 62, of Emerald Isle, passed away Sunday, April 14­, 2019, at her home.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at Emerald Isle Beach, West Access at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2019.  There will also be a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 19, 2019, at Stokesburg United Methodist Church in Walnut Cove, NC, officiated by Rev. Clif Arnold

Rosey spent her career as a nurse and recently taught nursing classes at Coast Carolina Community College where in 2015 she was named the Educator of the year.

Rosey loved the beach, being part of the sea turtle patrol and shell collecting. She had a passion for her students, and they loved her.  She also loved her many friends and coworkers and never missed an opportunity to send a greeting card.

She also loved her AA friends that were always so encouraging.

Her most recent joy was her great nephew Davis. He never failed to bring joy to her life.

She is survived by her brother, Charles G. “Chuck” Hill, Jr. and wife Denise of Greensboro; step-mother, Hilda Hill of Cary; niece, Carly Hill of Raleigh; nephew, Adam Hill and wife Taylor Hill of Greensboro, NC; and great-nephew, Davis Hill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles G. “Chig” Hill and Bonita “Pee Wee” Hill.
