Rosa "Rose" Lee Allison Ambrose

Rosa "Rose" Lee Allison Ambrose, 78, of Newport, died Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Carteret General Hospital.
A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 am Thursday with Rev. Ken Bartholomew officiating at Amariah Garner Cemetery.
Mrs. Ambrose was a member of Community Baptist Church in Newport, and was a former waitress at the Newport Diner.
She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Ambrose; five sons, Jonathan Barrington and James Barrington both of Santa Clara, CA ,Jason Barrington of Union Town, OH, Delbert Allison and Elbert Allison both of Newport; sister, Marie Johnson of Morehead City; three brothers, James Waddell and Samuel Waddell both of Newport, and Linwood Waddell of Rocky Mount; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Audrey Allison, parents, James and Lily Waddell and brother, Luther Waddell.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home.
