Rosalie Davis

Rosalie Lewis Davis, 89, of Beaufort, died Sunday, October 11, 2009, at Harborview Health Care Center.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Morehead City. She was the first president of the Relief Society for Women of the Morehead City Branch.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Stake President Joel Hancock officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Lee Davis and Nancy Louise Davis both of Beaufort, and Olivia Ann Davis Bass of Ayden; two sons, William "Billy" Oliver Davis, Jr. and wife Mary Ann of Newport and Richard Kevin Davis of Morehead City; sister, Ruth Varone of Arlington, VA; brother, Richard Arland Lewis of Harkers Island; and 12 grandchildren, Scott Stinson, Bo Stinson, Tad Stinson, Sage Stinson, Gina Huff, Bobby "Bob-O" Martin, Jr., Tony Mallard III, Kimberly Everette, William Oliver Davis III, Jason Davis, Bradley Davis, Ashley Davis, and Sarah Katherine Davis; six great grandchildren, Michael Gillikin, Herbert Pope, Challie Martin, Brittney Martin, Bobby Glenn Martin, III, and Austin Mallard Terry; and great great grandchild, Madison Gillikin; numerous nieces and nephews; and her most cherished lifetime friend Mrs. Bertha Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Oliver Davis, Sr., and her parents, Capt. Dick and Bertha Lewis, and seven sisters.
The family will receive friends 12:00 - 1:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
