Ronnie G. Avery, Sr.

Ronnie G. Avery, Sr., 55, of Beaufort, NC died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Carteret General Hospital.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Friday at Carteret Memorial Gardens with Rev. Michael Fields officiating.

Mr. Avery is survived by his wife, Susan Piner Avery of the home; son, Ronnie G. Avery, Jr. of Newport; three step-sons, Ryan Burroughs, also of Newport, Brandon Burroughs and wife, Bobbi of Harkers Island and Jody Burroughs of Morehead City; three grandchildren, Haley Burroughs and Tyler Burroughs, both of Harkers Island and Matthew Goodwin of Newport; two sisters, Louise Morton and husband, Bud of Jacksonville, and Charity Avery of Kinston; and four brothers, Pete Avery and wife, Coretta, Samuel Avery and wife, Denise, Mark Avery, and Buddy Avery and wife, Christy, all of Morehead City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Beatrice Avery and sisters, Betty Wetherington and Nancy Peterson.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
