Ronald "David" Currie

Ronald “David” Currie, 51, of Newport, passed away Wednesday, October 31­, 2018, at Vidant Medical Center.

His memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, officiated by Pastor Mark McNeil. Interment will follow at Amariah Garner Cemetery.

David was born in Raleigh and moved to Havelock as a child. He graduated Havelock High School in 1985 and attended NC State before working for UPS for over 20 years. He enjoyed playing the guitar and a variety of sports, especially baseball. He was a hard working and devoted husband, father, and grandfather that will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria Mills Currie, of Newport; daughters, Ashley Nicole Currie of Manteo, NC and Hannah Marlena Currie of San Diego, CA; sister, Michelle Yvonne Currie Priminger of Newport, NC; granddaughter, Anastasia Ivory Ceballos; and 2 nephews, Kenneth David Downing and Timothy Myron Okowski.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Brenda Currie.

Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
