Ronald Matthew Ewing,75, of Beaufort, formerly of Birdsboro,PA, following a long and valiant fight went to sleep in the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Crystal Coast Hospice House,surrounded by his family.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday June 3, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor David Bruce officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.
Ron was a barber for 24 years before making the transition to borough manager of Birdsboro, PA for 14 years. He also was elected to the board supervisors of Warwick Township and served on the Berks County Planning Commission. He was a Boy Scout Master for 8 years and on the Boy Scout Board for 16 years.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Ewing; daughter, Kathy Tatiossian; three sons, James Ewing, Dennis Ewing, and Jeffery Ewing; grandchildren,Lena Siegendorf,Rebecca Ewing, Benjamin Ewing, Jacob Ewing, Rachael Ewing, Alexander Ewing and Olivia Ewing; and great-grand children, Ciayla Barrett, and Riley Siegendorf. He is also survived by two brothers George and Richard Ewing and their families.
The family will receive friends 6:00 -8:00 pm Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home.
