Roger Dale Applewhite, Jr., 39, of Newport, died Thursday September 13, 2012, at Carteret General Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shirley Rogers.
Roger was a valued employee of Captain's Table.
He is survived by his parents Kathy and Hank of Newport: half brother Steve Stephens of Texas: Uncle Jerry and wife Dena: cousins Heather, Jerri, and Keyair.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Carteret County Humane Society, PO Box 357, Newport, NC 28570.
