Rodney Taylor, Sr.
February 3, 1936 — April 12, 2013
A funeral service will be held Tuesday 2:00pm at First United Methodist Church of Morehead City, with Rev. Mike Freese officating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Mr.Taylor was a member of First United Methodist Church of Morehead City. He retired from the United States Coast Guard as a Chief Petty Officer and also from Civil Service at Cherry Point, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hill Taylor of the home: daughter, Julia Nelson and husband Todd of Morehead City: a son, Rodney Taylor, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA: a brother, Braxton Taylor and wife Kathryn of Sea Level, NC: two granddaughters, Chloe Taylor and Maya Taylor: and two step-grandchildren, Zac Nelson and Greg Nelson.
The family will receive friends from 12:30pm - 2:00pm Tuesday prior to the service at the church.
