Rodney Allman, 79, of Havelock passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Carolina East Medical Center,
A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel, Morehead City with Rev. Manley B. Rose Jr. officiating.
Rodney honorably served in both US Navy and US Air Force. He retired from USMCAS Cherry Point Civil Service and was member of the Knights of Columbus. Loved to Camp with his family and Travel. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, of 54 years, Barbara Allman; one daughter, Maryann Allman Plumley of Wilmington; two sons, John Allman of San Francisco, CA and Jim Allman and wife Jennifer Ring of Wake Forest, NC; one brother, William “Bill” Allman of Texas; also three grandchildren, Brian Allman, Brittany Allman and Irene Allman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sarah Dupont Allman; one brother, Joe Allman; one sister, Sally Smith; and Bear his beloved dog.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
