Robert "Captain Bob" Duane Cox

Robert "Captain Bob" Cox, 64, of Morehead City, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at Carteret General Hospital with his beloved companion Brenda Smith at his side.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Monday at Munden Funeral Home.
Bob second love was being the captain of Diver Down and his crew. His Scuba Diving Charter Business in Atlantic Beach brought him many friends from all over the world. He loved scuba diving and the water. He enjoyed life and was helpful to all who was in need.
He is survived by his companion Brenda Smith of Morehead City; a son Shawn Cox and wife Carolyn of Virginia; his children at heart Brandon Smith and wife Erica of Virginia; two grandchildren Emily and Trevor; a brother Jesse Cox of Virginia; and brother at heart Robert Wiggins and wife Kathy of Morehead City; and many other extended family who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Elizabeth Cox.
