Robert "Bobby" Baker Lawrence
March 21, 1933 — November 6, 2012
Robert B. (Bobby) Lawrence, 79, of Morehead City, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Harborview Health Center, surrounded by his loving family.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday at Parkview Baptist Church with the Reverend David Mills and the Reverent Jerry Linebarger officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
Bobby Lawrence was the beloved husband of Jean Davis Lawrence of the home. He was the beloved father of one daughter, Sharon Orleans Lawrence and husband Randy Williams of Kuwait; and one son, Robert Michael (Mike) Lawrence and wife Duane of Newport. He was the beloved grandfather of Shea Garrison and husband Chad of Covington, Louisiana; Chris Lawrence and wife Melissa of Emerald Isle; Joshua Bradley and wife Amandalynn of Erie, Pennsylvania; Rachel Bradley of Sherman Oaks, California; Brian Lawrence and wife Christy of Newport; Elizabeth Morrison and husband Tony of Newport; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Bobby retired from the U.S. Coast Guard; he was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Gillikin Lawrence; his father, George Thomas Lawrence; his sister, Patsy Lawrence Willis; and his brother, Denard Thomas (Denny) Lawrence.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to the Food Bank at Parkview Baptist Church at 4738 Arendell Street, Morehead City, NC 28557.
