Robert "Bob" R Zipf
March 1, 1932 — February 5, 2016
Robert “Bob” Zipf, 83, of Pine Knoll Shores passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at Carteret Health Care.
A visitation will be held 2:00- 4:00 pm Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home.
A graveside service in northern New Jersey will follow at a later date.
Bob retired in 1985 after 25 years with the Union City Fire Dept. He owned and operated several construction companies that built new homes in northern New Jersey. He relocated to Eastern North Carolina and quickly became part of the Pine Knoll Shores community. Whether at the gym, working on projects or enjoying some outdoor sports he cherished his time with friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his fiancé, Esther Russell; three daughters, Deborah and husband Rob, Suzanne, Christine and husband Scott; Kenneth and wife Melanie; and eight adoring grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Mary Scavetto Zipf, and his wife of over 20 years, Diane Zipf.
