Robert "Bob" L. Phillips Jr.

Robert "Bob" L. Phillips Jr., 86, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Carteret Health Care.

Bob was born on May 29, 1937, in High Point, North Carolina, to the late R.L Phillips Sr. and Geneva Phillips. He was a graduate of NC State University where he earned his Master’s Degree in Engineering and Architecture. He went on to teach at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

A man of many interests, Bob will be remembered most for his love of fishing and gardening.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his sons, Robert Andrew Phillips, Michael Scott Phillips, and John Steven Phillips; sister, Loraine Burgess; other loving family; and his dog, Missy.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Elizabeth Phillips; and sister, Bobby Jean Pryor.
