Robert Taylor Kirkman, 42, of Atlantic Beach,North Carolina, died Friday, June 17, 2011.
Taylor was born September 1, 1968 in High Point, NC, the son of Fredericka Munday Kirkman and the late Robert Cleveland Kirkman. He graduated from Westchester Academy in 1986 and attended Applachian State University. An avid fisherman, he spent the last few years of his life doing what he loved the best-spending time with his friends and enjoying the sand and surf. He was employed by Service Plus of Atlantic Beach.
Taylor is survived by a son, Connor Kirkman; his mother, Fredericka Kirkman; a sister, Melissa Odom and her husband, Jonathan of Kailua, Hawaii; a niece, Maggie and a nephew, Nate; an uncle, Kenneth Kirkman and his wife, Kathy of New Bern, North Carolina and an uncle, Donald Kirkman and his wife, Leigh of Destin, Florida
Taylor's family and friends will gather by the sea in the coming days to celebrate his life and say good-bye.
