Robert Ison, 67 , of Morehead City, died Friday February 8. 2013. at Carteret General Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born February 26, 1945 in Beaufort.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Chadwick and Rev. Manley Rose officiating.
He is survived by two sons Robert Craig Ashton and wife Michelle of Pinetops, NC and Bryan Keith Ashton of Morehead City: granchildren Tosha Ashton Sprout, Joshua Craig Ashton, Peyton Keith Ashton, Keith Edward Thrasher, Amber Nicole Rowe, and Justin Romano: great grandchildren Korbin Sprout, Troy Sprout, and Nathan Rowe: and two brothers John Lynn Eldred of Morehead City, and Kenneth Eldred of Morehead City.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Eldred.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Carteret County, PO Box 1619, Morehead City, NC 28557 or to a charity of one's choice.
