Robert “Jackie” Jackson Durham, 72, of Newport, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Croatan Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be held Monday, July 10, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Holly Springs Free Will Church in Newport, officiated by Reverend Mitchell Parker. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Robert is survived by his wife Donna Sanderson Durham; son, Edward “Eddie” Jackson Durham and wife Sandi of Newport; sister, Sandra Styron and husband Joe of Newport; brothers, Jimmy Durham and wife Kay, Wayne Durham, Pete Durham, Tommy Durham all of Newport; grandchildren, Bennett, Charli Mae, Amanda, Brandon, Zachary all of Newport; great-grandchild, Dixie of Newport.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, David Randolph Durham and Bertha Mae Evans Durham; sisters, Myron Clark, Bertha Jean Willis; niece, Jamie Styron Parmley.
Family will see friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 Holly Springs Free Will Church in Newport.
