Ricky Alan Brinson

Ricky Alan Brinson, 59, of Morehead City, NC, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Carteret Health Care.

A memorial service to honor Ricky’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 21st at the Crystal Coast Worship Center in Salter Path, officiated by Rev. Paul Lofton.

Ricky was born on August 18, 1964, in Morehead City, NC, to the late Gordon and Judith Brinson. He lived in Morehead City for most of his life and was a graduate of West Carteret High School with the Class of 1984.

Professionally, Ricky dedicated many years as a lumberyard manager at Guy C. Lee in Sneads Ferry. His strong work ethic, knowledge, reliability, and commitment to excellence were traits that made Ricky admired by those who worked with him.

As an active member at the Crystal Coast Worship Center, Ricky enjoyed his church family and the friendships he had there.

Ricky's role as a father was one of his greatest sources of pride and joy. Ricky will be forever remembered as a devoted father and brother.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his fiancé of 10 years, Jill Bell; children, Bonita Schrader and husband Daniel of Gretna, NE, Ricky “Alan” Brinson II and wife Christan of Alabama, Erica Terry and fiancé Joel, Briana Rhodes and fiancé William, and Alan Brison, all of Jacksonville, NC; step-sons, Alex Bell and Cameron Bell; sisters, Pamela Harper and husband Rev. David, Carol Settle and husband Walter, and Brenda West; brother, Terry Brinson; 17 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
